Having been kicked out of Ducati after 5 Seasons Loris Capirossi has signed for Suzuki for the 2008 MotoGP World Championship. Capirossi finished 3rd in the MotoGP Championship in 2006 for Ducati and was the Number 1 rider in the team until Stoner came along this year and took the class by storm. Ducati Signed Italian Marco Melandri a few weeks ago and this was announced before Ducati had even told Capirossi.

Capirossi will therefore be the team mate of Chris Vermeulen next year who won the soaking wet French Race this year.

I find this news very suprising as I thought Suzuki would be wanting to look more to the future with the signing of someone young and fast like Ben Spies who seems to have bags of potential. Maybe they are thinking more along the development lines.
