Alex de Angelis has confirmed he has signed to race for Honda Gresini for the 2008 MotoGP World Championship. De Angelis joins fellow 250cc rivals Andrea Dovizioso and Jorge Lorenzo in the premier class for next season proving that 250's really are the way to go if you want to step up into MotoGP on competitive machinery.
Gresini Honda said they have lots of belief in Alex and this is a long term commitment from the team as alex is only 23 years old. Alex has had 15 second places over the last 3 season and only one win.

Sylvain Guintoli who has impressed many in his first season has signed to race for the Pramac d'Antine Team fro 2008. Sylvain has lost his ride in the Tech 3 squash due to the arrival of future MotoGP World Champion James Toseland and Colin Edwards. Did you like how I threw that future MotoGP World Champion reference in ?? I hadn't heard of Guintoli before this season and he had impressed at certain times in qualifying and he led the French
GP for a short period of time this season. Apparently he was a 250cc privateer for five season previous to this season.

Andrea Dovizioso has confirmed his moved to MotoGP with Honda, it is believed he will be a member of the Konica Minolta Honda Team replacing Shinya Nakano. Nakano hasn't impressed this season and this leaves him without a ride.
