Trouble for TT08 !!

I was listening to John McGuiness on Manx Radio the other day and he was very disapointed at the BSB Championship as they have organised a round of the 2008 BSB Championship during the TT. This causes huge problems for him and a number of other riders like Ian Hutchinson, Steve Plater, Micheal Rutter and Guy Martin who all currently ride in this Series. How will teams feel about there riders missing a round and going over to the TT to ride. Surely this could mean some of the top names will be missing next year. McGuiness said he will definetly be at the TT in 08 even if he has to go and buy his own bikes and transit van but it will seriously hamper him finding a top ride next year in British Supersport due to the Clash in dates. Maybe the BSB Championship should take a look at this for the good of all involved !!

The question was put to Stuart Higgs from BSB earlier in the season about date clashes and his reply was that they had arranged this years summer rounds to make sure that there were no rounds clashing with the TT as it was the centenary event.
Next season will be another matter and i can't see BSB arranging rounds around the TT again, so it may end up withriders just having to make the choice of which to do Crying or Very sad
