MotoGP07 came out on the 24th August in the UK and I went out and bought my copy, even though I new I couldn't play it until the following week due to going to the Manx. I do tend to buy most Motorcycle Racing games just to help support the people who make the games featuring bike racing. I remember when I was at secondary school I would have given my right arm to have abike racing game anything like the MotoGP Series so I feel it is my duty to buy these games to help make sure people make more of them. Ok on to MotoGP07, I have to say its doesn't seem that big of a difference between 07 and 06, a few new tracks and the new bike colour schemes. The on line play is still excellent and I really enjoy sitting down on the odd night and having a beer and racing and chatting with people from all over the world, although I do notice many of the people playing online are from the UK. I have so far completed the MotoGP Championship on the first 2 modes and I have completed the extreme mode on the first 2 as well, if nothing more than just to build your bikes attributes up. This year I have found a bigger difference between the bikes available, as your seeding is reduced other bikes are unlocked and from what I have been doing so far the Ducati seem superior to the others. Have to say though I don't really mess about with set-up to much and I am sure judging by online play that you can be much faster if you do alter your set-up.

The game is excellent and a must for all bike racing fans but it does have its flaws. The biggest in 06 for me was the AI, on the Legends mode it used to do my head in that everytime you went anywhere near the opposition you would end up on your arse and it became so frustrating and the AI seemed to recognise your bike as part of the track that they could just ride through or into. I am not sure if this is the case yet in 07 as I haven't got that far into the game. One thing I wanted in 07 was the ability to have the colour schemes of the real MotoGP teams in the career mode rather than having to create your own colour scheme with dodgy graphics, this would have been cool. Also in the game or in a future version of the game it would be nice if the career mode had you receiving an offer from certain teams and you could then choose which team to ride for depending on what deal was on the table, this could then be re-negotiated at the end of the season or you could sign with someone else as better teams became interested in you, that would be cool.

One other thing I would like to see is a bit more of a fuss made when you win something or when you win a championship, it would be nice it something happened to give you a bit of a pat on the back.

The game though is still superb and I like the overhead Helicopter shots of the circuits before you race on them, the loading time can be a little long buts its amazingly rewarding when you knock a few tenths off your lap time once you reach a certain level.

The next game on the radar is World Superbike 2007 which is already out on the PS2 and PSP, the xbox360 version was due in October which should be good.
