Sad
Well it's nearly the end of another season now... WSBK has finished and BSB will be too on Sunday after the last round at Brands.
I'm at Darley Moor on Sunday for the last rounds of the 2007 Darley Moor Club Championships so i'll be the one praying for a dry and sunny day.

Chris

Yes another season is almost done, only a couple of GP's to go.

BSB has now finished and Kyonari was a deserved winner again, although the Championship didn't seem as exciting this year for some reason. BSB could be in a bit of bother for next year as it has lost Airwaves Ducati, Kyonari and Rea. Tommy Hill looks like he might be in World Supersport and if the rumours are true Walker could be returning to the World Paddock after a poor season by his standards in BSB. HM Plant Honda may looks lining up with Haslam and Crutchlow next year although Suzuki I am sure are very very keen on keeping Crutchlow. MotoGP has been made to look slightly boring as well with only a handful of standout races this year although there are still 2 rounds remaining, this is mainly due to the dominance of Stoner, Bridgestone and Ducati, notice how I put Stoner first ? This is because I do believe he is the difference. Next season could be more of the same with maybe Melandri who has joined Ducati to replace Capirossi pushing Stoner all the way. Obviously this may change if Honda manage to do the normal trick and manipulate all the rules to help give them back an advantage.

The TT was a memorable year and for the right reasons with John McGunniess doing the first ever 130mph average lap which was just amazing, looks like 131 will be possible next year or even faster if all the small changes I heard about are going to happen on the circuit, there are even suggestions that very slow Governors Bridge will be replaced, that I am sure could make a big difference. Will McGunniess be back next year, well he said even if he has to go out, buy his own bikes and a Van he will be on the starting line.

Possibly the British Highlight this year has been James Toseland winning the World Superbike Title for the second time, this was really important as many people claimed he won his first title when he didn't have much in the way of competition. This definitely can not be said this year with the likes of Haga, Biaggi, Bayliss, Corser and Xaus in the field. Toseland can hold his head up high, he now has the prospect of giving the MotoGP boys a run for there money on a Factory Yamaha in 08. I so hope he does well as this will help to raise the profile of the sport especially as MotoGP is covered extremely well on the BBC. One sad point is that currently Britain do not have a rider on any of the Top bikes next year in WSB, I am sure this will effect attendances at Brands and people will go to GP rather than the WSB to support Toseland.

World Supersport looks like it possibly could be renamed next year to the British Supersport championship with Jonathan Rea, Craig Jones, Tommy Hill and possibly Walker riding, the Brits could make up the top 3 at ever round but I am sure Andrew Pitt will have something to say about that. Hodgson has gone off to AMA which is a big shame as I was hoping to see him in WSB but I am sure he is getting a big payday and who would have thought that American racing would be a route for another Brit to be given a chance in MotoGP, a big good luck to Chaz Davies (Stoners best mate!!) next year who could surprise a few people, he was doing really well in the Last GP until he retired and he has a couple more to go to help get used to the bikes for next year.

Can anyone give us any additional information about this year or even post some information about the Club Racing scene for 07.
